Accomplished composer Joel Cadbury, has left an indelible mark across film, documentaries, dance, and stage. Whether his music resonates on the grand scale of the silver screen or captivates audiences on stage and beyond, his distinctive electronic style never fails to capture attention.

For decades, Joel has been the primary songwriter and frontman for the rock band South, releasing their debut album ‘From Here On In’ on James Lavelle’s influential label, Mo’ Wax. Additionally, he is a vital member of the influential musical ensemble UNKLE, contributing as a guitarist and co-writer, and featured artist on albums such as ‘Never, Never Land’, ‘End Titles’, and ‘Where Did the Night Fall?’. Both groups continue to be celebrated for their avant-garde sound and pioneering music production—qualities Joel seamlessly incorporates into his compositions as a versatile composer.

Among Joel’s recent credits is the creation of the original score for the Apple TV+ series STILL UP, as well as for the NBC Universal/BBC comedy-drama series DODGER, exploring the origins of the beloved character The Artful Dodger.

In the world of documentaries, Joel showcased his talents scoring the much-discussed acclaimed Netflix series THE MAN WITH 1,000 KIDS and HBO limited series THE WAY DOWN.

His earlier scores encompass notable films, including THE KILLER INSIDE ME, a cinematic adaptation of Jim Thompson’s 1950s American noir novel, directed by Michael Winterbottom.
