Benjamin Woodgates, a distinguished alumnus of both Oxford University and the Royal College of Music, is a composer, arranger and musical director.
His strong sense of musicality, extensive knowledge of different genres and understanding of how music works to picture is evident in his scores for film, theatre productions, video games and high profile advertising campaigns.
Benjamin scored the feature film DREAM HORSE, directed by Euros Lyn and starring Toni Collette, Owen Teale and Damien Lewis. The film received it’s world premiere at Sundance film festival in 2020. He also worked as the Musical Director on Terence Davies critically acclaimed feature drama, BENEDICTION, about the life of Siegfried Sassoon, starring Jack Lowden and Peter Capaldi.
Also a sought after orchestrator and arranger for film and television, Benjamin’s recent credits include Being The Ricardos, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Landscapers and The Afterparty. He translates music for the live arena also, arranging and orchestrating Johnny Greenwood’s Oscar- nominated Phantom Thread score for live performance by the London Contemporary Orchestra at the film’s European premiere in London.
